Physiotherapy

we will help you move!

Our Physiotherapy Services

Physiotherapy will help you move! Moving well, often, and with ease and comfort is essential to great quality of life. A physical therapist can assess areas of non-optimal loading in the body,
as well as muscle imbalances.

Addressing these issues can help to resolve pain, improve function, increase athletic or artistic performance, and prevent injury. We treat sports injuries, strains and sprains, overuse, accidents, post-op rehab, and chronic pain. Physiotherapists want to empower you to take charge of your own health and recovery.

Does Physiotherapy require a referral from an MD?

No, a patient does not need referral by an MD before visiting a Physiotherapist.  Following a consultation and examination, the Physiotherapist will collaborate with you to devise a treatment plan to meet your needs.

What can i expect on the first visit?

Our Physiotherapist will conduct a thorough history of your current complaint, previous treatment, and relevant medical history. A full physical examination will be performed, including a functional assessment. Your Physiotherapist will take the time to discuss with you your diagnosis, your prognosis and your treatment plan. A treatment will be given if appropriate, followed by home exercises.

Do insurance plans cover Physiotherapy?

The majority of all insured Canadian workers have some coverage for physiotherapy services in their extended health care plans. Physiotherapy is partially covered by MSP for those who are on premium assistance, and by ICBC for those who have a valid claim. We can directly bill MSP,  ICBC and most private insurance plans to minimize your out-of-pocket expense. Please bring your insurance information with you to your first visit.
