How we help

What is to be expected in the first visit?

The first visit will generally be 90 minutes. A thorough intake will involve getting the full picture of the patient’s health; including but not limited to: medical conditions, energy, digestion, sleep, emotions, any areas of pain, family history etc. The tongue and pulse will also be analysed. With the information collected, a diagnosis will be made based on the patterns presented. A treatment plan will then be made up that may involve acupuncture, herbal formulas, diet therapy, or tui na (Chinese Massage).

What kind of training do Chinese Medicine Doctors have?

The doctorate program for Chinese Medicine is 5 years following 2 years of undergrad prerequisites. Upon completion of training, there a a series of rigorous exams to be completed.

What modalities are used?

Acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na (massage), gua sha (skin scraping), diet therapy, acupoint/trigger point therapy, and laser therapy.
